Our November meeting will feature Hector Allen, historian of the Town of Oppenheim in FultonCounty, as guest speaker. Allen has been working on publishing the history of his town for the past several years. Finding that he had more material than was feasible for one book, he decided to print the history in two parts.
In 2008 he published “The Oppenheim Chronicles – Volume One”. Volume Two is currently in the process of being printed. Allen will relate stories pertaining to hotels, stills, and dance halls, etc. in Oppenheim over the years.
The meeting will be held Monday, November 2nd at the BleeckerTown Hall at 575 County Highway 112. Business meeting at 6:45 pm with program following.
